Beverly Litdog Longid
BEVERLY LITDOG LONGID is an Igorot from the Bontok-Kankanaey peoples of the Mountain Province, Cordillera, in the Philippines. She is a mother and grandmother, an activist strongly dedicated to advocating for Indigenous Peoples’ rights.
She was a former student leader with a Psychology, English Literature, and Law degree.
She is red-tagged and vilified as a terrorist by state security elements and agents due to her activism. Despite this, her unwavering commitment to defending ancestral lands, self-determination, and promoting human rights is seen in her years of experience working and leading Indigenous Peoples Organisations at various levels.
She currently serves as the co-convener for the International Indigenous Peoples Movement for Self-Determination and Liberation (IPMSDL) and the national convener of Katribu, an alliance of Indigenous Peoples organisations in the Philippines.
She also works with several other organisations including the Cordillera Peoples Alliance, Asia Indigenous Peoples Pact (AIPP), Ibon International Foundation, and the International Land Coalition – Indigenous Peoples Caucus.
