Side Events
The Feminist Bazaar
The Feminist Bazaar (second floor) is amongst the many exciting activities planned at the APFF, where participants can showcase artisanal goods made by women from their communities to show and sell at the APFF.
The Really Really Free Market
The Really Really Free Market (second floor) is a space which imagines a world of feminist economies, where we are not subject to rampant hyper-consumerism and manufactured desire, a world where we own what we need, and live by qualities such as reusing, upcycling, and thrifting. The Really Really Free Market will be a booth where you can bring items you no longer need, and leave them at the booth for someone else to take for free. You can also exchange your items for anything else at the booth. We encourage you to take this as an opportunity to declutter!
The Solidarity Space
The Solidarity Space and Artivism Corner (second floor) is a space where we can gather to create posters, slogans, and brainstorm different ideas for taking solidarity actions to support our sisters and comrades in all our countries and regions. This is a space for feminist creativity and resistance!
The Wellness Space
The Wellness Space (first floor) is a quiet space for participants when they need a break from overstimulation or sensory overload. It is also a space where participants can spend time reading any of the many publications available in our Feminist Library Corner.
The Feminist Library Corner
The Feminist Library Corner (third floor) is a space where you can showcase your organisation’s promotional materials; this can include not just pamphlets, reports, or books, but other promotional material ranging from bookmarks to t-shirts, flags and posters, and any other materials you’d like to share with our comrades and sisters across our regions. We encourage all our participants to bring their publications and other merch for dissemination; knowledge is resistance!
Childcare Space
Childcare Space (Boardroom 4, first floor) is a dedicated room staffed by a childcare professional and volunteers, for participants bringing young children to the APFF. Please do note that the nurse will not be able to give all her attention to a single child, so nursing children and infants should not be left in the Childcare Space for an extended amount of time. Parents are also encouraged to bring their children with them to the different APFF spaces if it does not disturb their children, rather than in the Childcare Space all day; the APFF is a child-friendly space!
The Memorial Corner
The Memorial Corner (second floor) is a space where we will share photos, descriptions, stories, or any other form of commemoration of our fallen sisters and comrades across our regions. This includes not just those whom we have lost because of oppressive forces, but also those who pass from illness, natural causes, etc. The Memorial Corner is a space for us to honour their struggles and resistance, and reaffirm our own commitment to the feminist world they fought for.
