Devi Leiper O’Malley

Devi is a transnational Cambodian and American working in social justice and philanthropy. For the past decade, Devi has been working with feminist funds around the world in multiple roles – from grantmaking associate to co-Executive Director. She is currently the Co-Chair of the Board for Urgent Action Fund Asia & The Pacific. In 2021, she co-founded Closer Than You Think – a hybrid ideas studio and consulting collective. She continues to exclusively work with feminist funds and organisations, especially on strategy design, organisational development, governance and facilitation. Devi’s work is underpinned by her experiences supporting identity-based communities and projects in the US, Uganda, Cambodia, Afghanistan, and globally with refugees, sex workers, and garment workers. She enjoys digital collage and graphic design.
