Kyungjin Oh is a feminist activist based in Seoul, Republic of Korea. She joined the Korea Women’s Associations United (KWAU) in 2016, and currently serves as the executive director of the organisation. KWAU is an umbrella organisation of 7 chapters and 29 member organisations that strive to achieve gender equality, democracy, and peaceful reunification on the Korean Peninsula by facilitating solidarity and collective action among women’s groups.

Her interests include reflecting feminist values in democracy and civil society movements, strengthening intergenerational and transnational feminist networks, linking grassroots movements with international advocacy, and gender mainstreaming in international development and peace. She also worked as the executive director of Korea Women’s Political Solidarity (KWPS) from 2014 to 2015. Founded in 1999 and one of the core members of KWAU, KWPS has led the collective advocacy activities of Korean women’s groups to ensure women’s political rights and representation, as well as research and campaigns to enhance women’s political empowerment.

Before joining women’s NGOs, she was actively involved in a number of international development NGOs as a volunteer. Aside from activism, she likes to do things that refresh her mind, such as unexpected travel, reading essays about people’s daily lives, and spending time alone in a coffee shop.
