Bridging Stories, Building Strength: Mapping the relevance of ILO C189 and C190 to migrant women in Asia Pacific

The workshop will address key issues surrounding the implementation of the Domestic Workers Convention (C189) of 2011 and the Violence and Harassment Convention (C190) of 2019.

It will focus on challenges faced by women migrant workers in the Asia Pacific, in terms of experiencing violence discrimination in the workplace. Despite the existence of said conventions, gaps in country labor policies persist which exacerbate vulnerabilities of migrant women in domestic work and in other industries.
