Cripping Care : A Strategy Cafe for Co-Designing Disability Justice in Sexual and Reproductive Health Care
by RADIATE (Radical Action for Disability Advocacy Towards Equity)
Our activity centres “cripping” or centering disability justice in sexual and reproductive healthcare. Current models of care systems either wilfully exclude disabled body-minds or consider them to be worthy of only sub-par care.
Even in the global discourse of SRHR, disability – and its intersections with other marginalities – are easily forgotten. Hence, we pose the question: What will it take for global feminist movements to not just include, but centre disability justice in SRHR for people across intersections such as queerness, class, caste, and religion?
