Workshop
Food as Weapons, Food Sovereignty as Solution: Situating the Rural Women of Asia and the Pacific in the Fight for Women’s Human Rights and Development Justice
by GRAIN, Roots for Equity, RITS-Forum, ETC Group and Amihan
This workshop aims to unpack how food and hunger are being weaponised by imperialist corporations to extract control over resources and food systems; strengthen women food producers’ capacities to rebuild from crises; and strategise to strengthen feminist food sovereignty as way to fight back against the current industrial food system and weaponising of food.
It is also intended to promote and further amplify the call for Feminist Food Sovereignty to advance women human rights and Development Justice.
