Workshop
Militarization in Asia Pacific: towards transnational feminist resistance
by Asia-Japan Women's Resource Center (AJWRC)
Day 2
11am
2 hours
English
Asia and the Pacific region is a vast and diverse region plagued with conflicts of different nature. The countries in the region have been influenced by recent escalations in geopolitics of powerful nations.
This workshop will provide participants with an opportunity for feminist analysis of gendered impacts and conversations for transnational resistance, addressing questions such as follows:
– In what way is militarization affecting our communities and our work for peace, human security and social justice? How are our experience related?
– How can we support each other, in particular those in most difficult situations?
– What are major common challenges we face? How could we address these challenges together?
