Navigating the Legal Landscape: A Guide for Women’s Rights NGOs

The key issue that this workshop will address is the challenge to non-profit organisations (NGOs) who often rely on the freedom to operate and access to funding sources to carry out their mission.

The workshop will provide overview of a Guide developed by APWLD and TrustLaw through pro bono assistance from law firms. Through the workshop NGOs operating in Philippines, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Nepal and South Korea, will receive clarity on the issues related to registration, fund-raising, tax-exemptions, tax obligations and employment and immigration regulations, that affect their day to day operations in the five countries.
