What Feminist Resistance Can Look Like If We…?

by Aurat March Lahore
Day 3 11am 2 hours English

Key questions:

How can feminist resistance be joyful? How can feminist movements leverage their existing resources to organize creatively? How can feminist collectives nurture a culture of care and accountability to sustain their efforts? How can art be effectively employed by movements?

Using existing knowledge as a scaffold for new knowledge, we aim to explore the possibilities of how we can creatively center art, care, intuition and wisdom in our activism, harnessing these elements to integrate imagination as practice within feminist movements. We consider art not merely as a tool, but as an essential expression of our activism, capable of preserving and building up on feminist traditions, knowledge, and political herstories. Given the dearth of resources at the disposal of feminist movements, we channel our experience as Aurat March to delve into the art of maximizing these resources through unconventional means to propel our advocacy and organizing efforts forward.

This workshop will serve as a space for us to integrate learning outcomes into actionable plans for future activism, exchange constructive feedback, and engage in reflective growth, both individually and collectively.
